The coming of every society is shaped by the way its heritage is managed, conserved and reinvented. Both interventions have played a pivotal role in recapturing the site's economic viability and lengthy term sustainability, as healthy as conserving its heritage significance. The annual reveal remains integral to the cultural values of the Shepparton community, and as such it was critical that this use be retained, however the site was to be redeveloped to accommodate extra uses. An innovative and cost effective technical solution was developed, involving insitu fix of corroded steel sections rather than replacement maintaining the structural and historical integrity of the clever frame.
